Description

Including five quilts and quilt patterns published by the Kansas City Star Newspaper between 1932 and 1967, this cheerful quilt was designed and paper-pieced by Claudia Clark Myers. The original machine quilting was designed and executed by Marilyn Badger.

Description

Original design inspired by the art deco period. Descriptive words used are repeating overlapping images, chevrons, parallel straight lines and stylized floral motifs. Add listening to big band music and my favorite "Tangerine". Machine pieced and hand quilted.

Description

"Maui Sunset" began by my choice of a sensuous batik that could look like a glorious Hawaiian sunset with the colorful stars. The quilting designs are embellished with machine embroidery using heavy bobbin thread.

Description

Indigo and white quilt featuring an intricate pieced block set-on-point. The pieced blocks are set with trapunto quilted, double feather wreath blocks. The grid quilted reverse double saw tooth border is followed by a border of quilted feathers.
