Description |
The center block of "Fairy Dust" was begun in a class taught by Anita Shackleford. A friend suggested it would look nice set on point. I left it on my design wall, and *poof* look what happened. The quilt top is entirely done by hand, as is the quilting.

Description |
This quilt represents the friendships made during my long association with the Prairie Heritage Quilters. Inspired by a photo of "Central Medallion" by A.Y. in 1937. Quilting relationships are represented by the yellow ribbon for those passed, the pink garland for a growing circle of friends, and each quilted leaf is a new student. Original quilting designs inspired by the silverware of another quilter. Hand appliqué, hand-guided machine quilted using home sewing machine.
