La Fleur D'Abeille The Bee Flower by Deborah L. White  

Based on the Honey Bee block combined with a primitive interpretation of the Bee Balm flower. All embroidery is hand done to enhance the piecing and appliqué. As "Deborah" means "The Bee" this is my namesake quilt.

The 3 ½ inch Mariner's Compass block is from "Miniature Quilts" magazine. I drafted the foundation pattern for the flying geese. The compass block is appliquéd to the background fabric. This mini has over 1,000 pieces.

Flowers pop out of the center medallion and vines grow into the setting corner triangles in this miniature quilt. The quilt was entirely machine pieced and machine quilted.
