This original design was inspired by antique red and green quilts. It features flowers, birds and butterflies and is hand quilted and hand appliquéd. Trapunto has been added to the quilting designs. |

This is the second miniature quilt I have made that was inspired by a woven coverlet made in England , c. 1850, called "Marseille Spread" which imitated French hand quilting. I used my home sewing machine to quilt the designs. |
